General

It was a long day but very much was accomplished!  Great sitz (for crew and music), lots of props and set pieces got worked on, and the run was not bad at all.  We still have some technical difficulties to work out, but all solvable.  Our show is starting to come together.  We’ll implement costumes tomorrow.

I’d like to thank everyone, for their can do attitudes, graciousness and focus.  Crew, you are doing great, actors, you are rolling well with the changes, Musicans, you sound lovely.

I’d like to make a special Shout out to Sherman who was my partner in crime today, a lot of what was accomplished set and props wise today would not have been possible without his help.  Thanks also to my crew for helping with tagging and fixes.  I couldn’t have done it without you.

AND RICH, thank you for the subtitles, you have no idea how much that helped having them today, and I know what an effort it was for you to do it so thank you very much!

Happy Mother’s day!  I hope that you who are mothers get some time to spend with your families, and that all of you get to spend some time with your own mothers.

Are great

Nikki, Melita, and Lariena, please get me your Ramona receipts.  Thanks.

The second dressing room is a no hairspray zone, the ladies bathroom also.  Feel free to use in the men’s room and the first bathroom thank you.

Please be mindful of your trash day’s.  and please don’t keep food or beverages in the dressing rooms, and throw away food and don’t keep in green room, we have a big door across from a dumpster/restaurant and I have seen rodentia in the building.  (big assed rodentia, seriously, it’s tail was HUGE.)

Set

Updated punch list attached.  For reals, unless office won’t let me again.

I’m concerned how the sound cabling may effect build of the city scape.

Also, we’ve got band hanging off the platform, need to discuss/fix?

Props

all champagne glasses removable from tray

some removable h’or devers  hor’devours, crap, finger foods on another

Pocketwatch broke (easily fixed I believe)

I printed out three newspaper covers.

I believe we’ll need three white slavery papers.

Need a cut out article, or twelve for Miss Dorothy’s purse.  (the big shot bachelor or whatever article)

Spray guns need to be a little varied, not just silver maybe some black lines or something or a lable of some sort?.

Can we pre cut the train tickets for sara to rip up, she’s havin a hard time cuz they are cardstock.

Syringe is missing, do we have a second?

Can the jar lid, get ungunked, the spray paint made it hard to open, also, can we get a lable, the handwriting while nice handwriting, looks like….er handwriting….

Paint

I like the floor idea’s, two is my favorite.

Sounds/Lights/Special FX

Other than being really hot, the sound was quite good for a first run.  Do we need to talk baffling?

Ron, I have a Honey do list for you at bottom of report.  I will be in at 2:00 unless I get jittery if you’d like to come then, OR come at will, but if you could get the items below done TOMORROW, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

SAM, can we mic more gentlemen in the opening number? Steve W, Will, Keith, Sam and James?

STUART, we’re going to need some blue outs and black outs.  Notably, “gimme gimme, with some blue after so she can not die, and the scene with Miss Dorothy in the laundry cart down right, also, for some scenes can there be less light upstage so that we don’t focus on our ugly walls (side walls barb, your painting is lovely)

Is anything sound wise run from cue lab?  Should we perhaps move the mac into the booth?  Could we move cue lab into the booth?

Costumes

Are going to be awesome, can’t wait to see y’all!

Could the people in line up step down two steps?  That would help the crew out when doing the jail cells IMMENSLY!

The scene changes blew me away until the café society, then they kind of went urk.  But we will fix.  (except Emma who got the coffee mug and she was just a blond blur)

Purposeful.  That is how we walk on and off, brisk to the point and off.

And please careful of the talking backstage, this show has very little to muffle the sound.

I think the hinge on the ledges helped so much that whatever is on front is just décor, let’s table that and just hinge in the middle.  That will take less time, and Cody, feel free to slink off and not stay under the ledge.

I am just thrilled with all of you, you are amazing, and I’m so proud of you and the great work you are doing.

Need to glow the spikes  different glow for different scenes, can put one line two three and on, or dots, or slashes, but I say glow them all differently, right it down, and if some don’t need it, you’ve already done it and don’t find out the hard way.

Need to spike the laundry carts.  And the stenog desks act one.  Jesee will you help?

Please tuck the red curtains up and out of the way

Please look at batten four, it is sticking really bad, (don’t think it’s weight, think it’s the ropes?)

Hang those pups or whatever on the sides please

Need the red teaser down

Should hang the other cyc and place it for Monday???

Re the email Michael sent, can you look for find the items he needs please?  I’ll do the springs.

Tomorrow::: When you are not singing on stage please try your costumes on, but be mindful of timing so people don’t have to wait for you to begin a song.  Make sure to note any costume fixes in the green room.  BUT DO NOT TRY ON UNLESS LABLED!  Ellen and I will do more labeling in the morning but in case we do not finish, please don’t touch until labled.

Sounds/Lights/Special FX

Need the second spot hooked up for tomorrow.  Will try to do it but????

Can we make sure the sound is routed to the shed tomorrow during sitz probe?  Don’t want to ask you something you will already have done, I just want to make sure it is done.  Thanks

A possible concern for tomorrow, our skyscrapers are not put on back wall yet, so I’m concerned about sound cables, for when they are built/installed.  Flats will be on back wall with supports, I’m concerned how that effects your cabling, and also how cabling could be moved in installation.  Just an FYI

Another great night all, thanks for your great attitudes and work, things are starting to unkink, and I know will get better and better.

Lets get all of the towels and things out of the carts, we really don’t need anything in them except the pillows for that one scene)

Tomorrow at 1:00 we’ll talk through every change and maybe grab some things to work.  Again great hustle, I know you have a lot to learn in a very short time, but I think you are doing well.

Purposeful.  That is how we walk on and off, brisk to the point and off.

And please careful of the talking backstage, this show has very little to muffle the sound.

Adding a kink to the elevator, it will need to turn around flat and store farther stage left, we’ll spike it tomorrow.

Also, the black curtain will be down during the café society scene and the dressing room scene, so we’ll need to change our traffic pattern so we can do the change without raising the black in between.

Let’s try taking the ledges through the reds to see how that will work.

Ellen I’ll be here in am to unlock then need to go to hobby lobby so if you don’t see me, the doors will be open.

Let’s get Graydon’s desk in the hall before we clear props off of it please.  Thanks!

Let’s make sure to spike the stool for the dressing room.

Worked Show, got to just before the last scene.

When picking up your costumes tomorrow: it is SUPER important that you take your costumes, smile, thank Ramona and leave.  You will most likely not be asked to try anything on.  She may give you things, you think you don’t need.  Don’t say anything, we will fix it here.  Just smile thank her and go.  (this is for your well-being.)

Bring your costumes to the theatre.  Take your costumes to the dressing rooms and hang them under your marked spaces.  We will LABEL everything.  Please don’t try stuff on until it is labled.  After that feel free to try on and write down any fixes/alterations needed.  Mary Ellen, our Artistic Director, and our lovely costume crew will help pin and label costumes.

There is a sign up for a Thoroughly Modern t-shirt by the sign in clipboard.  If you want a shirt sign it.  Jill is in charge of the shirt so if you have any questions, see her.  The shirts are $15.00.

We rent from A cut above costumes in Round rock texas.

150 Texas Ave ste 205 Round Rock Texas 78664.

You guys rock!  Great Job today, only second rehearsal and there was improvement, we’ll get another chance tomorrow, and Saturday we’ll work some stuff as well as really talk through the show.

Kristie, for times when the five doors are on, and people start onstage, please have a crew unlock from the back.

Kristie, when you set the sink SR, can the faucet be to the wall so that it comes out in a smooth arc, and the actors don’t have to turn it?  Thanks!

Crew, I’d like to work the Jail cells during the vocal warm ups please.

Emma, can you put on your list, to hand Stephen a pen write before he goes on stage the very first time (when he walks out and Sara trips him.)
